Terms & Conditions

Use of this website means that you accept these terms. If any part is unacceptable, do not use the site or its linked tools.

This is a privately owned records reference with no affiliation to a government body, sheriff, police department, jail, court, or corrections agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers consumer reports or services for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant decisions. The site is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site provides general directions to Colbert County and Alabama booking, jail, court, corrections, and public-record sources. It holds no official record and cannot confirm custody, free a detainee, post bond, or file a request or court document for a user.

Some links connect visitors with independent research tools. Those tools remain separate services governed by their own terms, prices, and data policies.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming another person or the service. You agree that you will not:

  • violate a law through use of the site;
  • stalk, harass, threaten, or target another person;
  • make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content;
  • attempt access to systems or data without authorization;
  • operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools; or
  • interfere with the site's operation or another visitor's access.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use any information obtained here for:

  • an employment, hiring, retention, or firing decision;
  • housing or tenant screening;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • license, permit, or government-benefit eligibility; or
  • any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

Links and Independent Services

Outbound links may lead to jail rosters, release feeds, sheriff or police sites, court and corrections portals, legal resources, federal locators, news outlets, and private search providers. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination's content, uptime, accuracy, security, or data handling, and visitors should review its current terms.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that:

  • information is accurate, complete, or current;
  • access will always be uninterrupted;
  • the service has no error, defect, or security weakness; or
  • a partner search will return every relevant record.

Custody, charges, bond, release, and public records can change quickly. Nothing displayed here is an official statement by the Colbert County Sheriff's Office or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, the owners, operators, contributors, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site or an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold the site, its owners, operators, contributors, and partners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless another owner is identified, the site's text, design, graphics, logo, and code belong to Colbert County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without prior written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted, and continued use after posting means acceptance of the new terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice, including when use threatens the site or violates these terms.

Alabama Governing Law

Alabama law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Alabama.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected part will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
